The application form requires from you the following key submissions:
At least ten years of professional experience, including at least five years of documented leadership/managerial experience. From the ten-year criterion, we will make rare exceptions in the case of individuals with particularly impactful leadership experience, for instance founding an organization, startup etc.
An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification.
At least two references that includes at least one referee who can comment on your academic credentials, experience and potential and at least one referee who can testify to your professional accomplishments and responsibilities.
A cover letter explaining interest in the CEU Executive PhD.
A research proposal (3-5 pages) explaining the research topic or question(s) that you wish to pursue during the program.
Based on general CEU requirements and guidelines
A non-refundable application fee of EUR 100.
Once your application is received, your application materials will be carefully considered, and the doctoral admissions committee will make a decision on your admission.
We may ask you to attend an interview as part of the process. The interview will be held online – there is no need to attend in person.
You are strongly encouraged to consult the research interests of the faculty which can be found here www. economics.ceu.edu/faculty. It is very important that there is a faculty at CEU who has research interests in the area of your dissertation topic. You may even indicate a specific management faculty member who you would consider to be a potential supervisor in your research proposal.
